How It Works

1: CONSULTATION

What happens when you place that first call? A member of our staff will set up a free no-obligation consultation with you. This consists of a visit to the property, whether personal property or real estate.

Our services are typically reimbursed with a commission of your auction proceeds. These rates vary depending on the options you choose and the property to be sold. On the initial visit we will discuss your different options and the advantages and disadvantages to all of them. We will also consider your time-line and do our best to accommodate those needs..

2: DECIDE VENUE

Based on your needs, we can help you decide what option is right for you:

Online Only Auctions

 - In our Gallery

 - At your property

Live (Traditional) Auctions

 - In our Gallery

 - At your property

3: AUCTION AGREEMENT

The next step in the process is a formal handshake, the auction agreement. Our contract is a single page document spelling out the services we agree to provide for you as our client.

This contract will have the details of the auction such as the dates and commission rates. This contract protects you against default from an auction company.

*A signed auction contract is require by law in most states

4: PREPARE

Then it is on to the “elbow grease” work.

For a Gallery auction, we will send a moving crew to pack, load, and move your items to our Gallery. These items will then be sorted and organized in our facility.

For an on-site  auction, your items will be organized and staged so we can portray them in a way that will be most advantageous to you.

5: PHOTOGRAPH

Our trained photographers will take multiple photos of every item or group of items we are selling in your event. In our Gallery, we have specialized lighting, backgrounds, and photo equipment to truly highlight your items.

6: INVENTORY

The Enlisted Auctions crew has the privilege of dealing with a LOT of cool stuff each day. With the help of national resources, we do our very best to correctly and accurately inventory your items. Many of our clients don't realize the true value of their items until they see competitive bidding working its magic.

*Average setup, inventory, and photograph time for an estate auction is approximately 10 hours. Every situation is different ...

7: AUCTION TIME!

The auction will go "live" once the above steps are complete. This means that anyone on this green earth with an internet connection will be able see, bid, and buy your stuff. They don't have to call and leave an absentee bid, they don't have to drive for hours at a chance to bid on something, they don't have to wait for 8 hours on a Saturday morning during their kids ball game to place a bid. They can bid 24/7 from their recliner. There is an amazing amount of website activity between 10 PM and 6 AM. Technology at work for you!

Most of our online auctions will be open for bidding for 10-14 days. Each case in unique and those times may vary based on different factors.

*In 2015 Enlisted Auctions averaged over 41,000 views per auction

8: SETTLEMENT

The settlement check(s) are written within 10 days of the close of the auction. Most of our clients have no money invested in this entire process. All of the expenses of the event are simply deducted from the settlement check.

*If your event was hosted on-site, we will be able to leave your property broom clean and ready for the next chapter in the book of "Ye Ole Home"
